TIPM Morning Brief: Monday, September 16th

Here is today’s TIPM Morning Brief.
Young author Aaron Ozee discusses taking on the production of an audio book for self-published authors, particularly using ACX.

With self-publishers also looking at crowdsourcing to finance the publication of a book, the social media resource can be used to edit your book. The operative two words in this article, citing Guy Kawasaki’s APE: Author, Publisher, Entrepreneur, are ‘finished manuscript’ and I would never advise an author to attempt to replace professional editing completely with crowdsourcing.

The Guardian UK has a piece on copyright laws and illegal downloading citing Philip Pullman who is president of the Society of Authors.

Finally, Dear Author has more discussion on bundling e-books.
