Novelist Polly Courtney has decided to ‘sack’ her publisher HarperCollins on the day of her book launch, claiming her book covers were ‘patronising’ and disagreeing with the manner HarperCollins marketed her three books. I’m not sure why it took three books for Courtney to arrive at this decision, but the author has vowed to return to self-publishing and steer clear of ‘large publishers’ for her next book.
