Beyond The Book Podcast: Cory Doctorow on eBooks

Chris Kenneally continues his series on ebooks on BlogTalkRadio, entitled, Beyond The Book. Recently he caught up with science fiction author and co-editor of Boing Boing, Cory Doctorow.
On eBooks, Doctorow discusses what he thinks are the two principles at play in eBook pricing: Demand elasticity and price discrimination. The former relating to how companies like Amazon are trying to lower eBook prices because they think that the Internet can potentially attract a bigger book audience and the latter relating to publishers trying to keep eBook prices up because they think that since everyone knows what books are, their availability in electronic form will not increase the number of book readers.
